The Season Is Changing. Shouldn’t Your Hair Product?
‘tis the season for change fall is coming should we prepare ourselves for all the weather changes? As the time of year progresses we should take our hair and consideration. The leaves are falling is your hair falling as well?
Does the change in season affect your hair? Changes in your hair texture can really throw your routine off balance and if you are anything like me, time is of the essence when it comes to looking your best.
Everything from temperature to pollution can contribute to changes in your skin and body. Your hair is included in that. Trichologist Anabel Kingsley from hair specialists, Philip Kingsley says, “atmospheric moisture content (AKA humidity) has a huge impact on the appearance and manageability of your hair. The more humid it is, the more likely it is your hair will frizz.”
Kingsley says, “your hair contains bonds called ‘hydrogen bonds’. These are weak bonds that are easily broken by water and then reset upon drying.
“However, hydrogen bonds are not always broken and reset when you want them to be; they are also broken by water in the atmosphere, and subsequently reset themselves into undesirable configurations upon drying. Therefore, in particularly humid seasons like the summer, you are very likely to find your strands kink and frizz progressively throughout the day.” Kingsley says.
Your hair can also be frizzy in the winter due to warm hats and salt in the hair from your sweat underneath those warm hats. Your hair can also increase in flakiness and dryness. I would suggest increasing your moisture routine. A great example of this would be CityGRL Haircare moisture shampoo and conditioner combo .
Make sure to shake up your hair routine Each season. For example during the summer months UV rays can cause damage so make sure that you use a UV protected product. A great example of this is CityGRL haircare amethyst oil.
Use oils and creams as a barrier between your hair in the atmosphere. This will help maintain your luscious locks for a time to come.
