How To Not Wash Your Hair For a Week!

Day 1

Wash your hair with either a moisture or volume shampoo and conditioner. (CityGRL haircare is a great product for this) Depending on your hairs natural oil. You may want to wash twice for a nice lather and cleanse. Make certain to spread a moisturizing conditioner throughout the ends. Some may even need to clarify weekly. I don’t suggest clarifying that often unless a stylist recommends it.

When blowing dry I would recommend using less products during the initial blow out. A light amethyst oil with a leave in conditioner. You may also include a light weight styling aids if you need a little more hold. (Le duex by CityGRL is a wonderful item) these items are addressable and effective.

Day 2

You may add a small amount of serum or oil to moisturize the hair especially if you’re applying heat. Remember these items are meant to replenish the natural oils that are produced by the scalp naturally. Excessive shampooing and a lot of extra products can effect the scalps natural ability to produce its proper amount.

Adding a texture spray is always a great idea for volume and added wave if needed. A lot of products use sea salts. CityGRL haircare illusionist spray is fabulous for this without added weight and no salts or drying aids. You may place this item in wet or dry.

Day 3

Find a wonderful dry shampoo you enjoy. I really like Kevin Murphy fresh hair! A little goes a long way. Use very little and massage in the root for extra cleanse. Make sure to use sparingly as to not disrupt the hairs natural oil production.

Day 4

Rinse the hair with warm water and re blow dry style. Using a boar brush to help keep the scalp from getting a residue built up. It will exfoliate the scalp and keep flakes from developing. This is a good thing you can do on a daily or nightly basis. Just rinsing can help all of the build up from forming. When drying the hair with a towel. Try blotting instead of rubbing the hair. This will keep the hair shaft in tact.

Day 5+

For added days lay off the heated tools or a least limit them. Let the hair dry naturally. Style lightly.
